more progress

onion skinning: lets you edit only the current frame. However, you can display the contents of each frame between the onion skin markers normally.

symbols types: create interactive buttons that respond to mouse clicks, rollovers, or other actions.

Scrubbing: refers to grabbing the handle of the seek bar and dragging it in either direction to locate a particular scene in the FLV file.

Test Movie: Lets you see the progress you have made in the movie you are making.

Library: stores media assets that you create or import for use in a Flash document.

Break Apart: To break the link between an instance and a symbol and make the instance into a collection of ungrouped shapes and lines.

I really wish I had a teacher to teach me this stuff...because it is hard to learn the basics from absolutely NO past knowledge. I am trying to understand the basics, but it is kind of hard when you can't understand the terminology.

Getting better

Shape Tweened Frames: An object changes shape in between frames.

FLA File: the primary files you work with in Flash. These are the files that contain the basic media, timeline, and script information for a Flash document.

SWF File: the compressed versions of FLA files. These files are the ones you display in a web page.

Oval Drawing Tool: One of the many tools to help draw on the canvas. This tool can draw ovals or Circles.

Select tool: A tool that is specifically used for selecting an object and/or moving the object.

Frame by Frame Animation: using seperate frames to add up to be an animation.

More definitions

Property Inspector: Changes to reflect the tool or asset you are working with, giving you quick access to frequently used features.

Actions Panel: Lets you create and edit actions for an object or frame using two different editing modes.

Frame: A picture in a timeline/Animation, many of these frames are put together to make a fluent animation.

Key Frame: A frame in which you define a change to an object's properties for an animation or include ActionScript code to control some aspect of your document.

Motion Tweened Frames: Meaning Motion in-between Frames.

Definitions

Timeline: A storyline for a project. A set of many frames. Helps you make movement and in your animations.

Vector Graphics: describe images using lines and curves. They can't lose resolution.

Work Area: store graphics and other objects without having them appear on the Stage when you play the SWF file.

Stage: The Stage is the rectangular area where you place graphic content, including vector art, text boxes, buttons, imported bitmap graphics or video clips, and so on when creating Flash documents.

Palettes: A set of colors... you can color the stroke or the fill.

Panels: let you work with objects, colors, text, instances, frames, scenes, and entire documents.

I'm trying to find out how to upload an application onto my website, but it is not happening.

Website Progress

I'm starting on my website and it is a pretty complicated task. Yesterday I learned how to make a simple Flash animation. It seems to be getting more complicated than that though. I have two web addresses. Iansshoe.com is going to be a website for entertainment and Immize.com will be a more serious site.
